Most DX at Ocean City is done on vehicle radios or portables.  
In 10/78 a Hallicrafters SX-99 and SM-1 were used with the best results.

The fantastic conductive property of salt water make a coastal 
location the most interesting for daytime DX.  This list shows 
11 states and DC).  It is updated yearly and added to (if possible) 
when vacationing there.

WMID-1340 must have the best coverage of any graveyarder in the country.  
Their signal is clearly heard from the shores of Long Island all the way 
to Cape Hatteras, NC!
